I recently bought a round disc mold and have been experimenting with it in my kiln. Sadly, my first attempt at round fused glass discs was not very successful. They didn’t turn out very round. The next time I raised the temperature in the kiln and held it there longer. Much better, but I still had some rough edges. I lightly sanded those off and then refired them. I found that in order for them to turn out nice and round it is important to mound the glass up in the middle and to make sure the edges are lower. I ramped these up quickly in my kiln and held them at 1500 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes. I experimented with frits and ended up with some really fun pendants, if I do say so myself! They are just under 1 inch in size. I have some new steel cable chokers that look great with these pendants. They are perfect for the summer! I will be listing some of these in my Shop soon.
