Thanksgiving – Giving Thanks to the Hostess

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it’s all about giving thanks. If you are lucky enough to be invited as a guest to Thanksgiving dinner don’t forget to thank the host. While a bottle of wine and flowers are nice, there are other options. Here are a few to consider.

Candles are always a great gift and especially nice this time of year.  Put a spiced fragrance candle with a fused glass dish and you have a great hostess gift.

Did you volunteer to bring a dessert? Bring some cookies on a lovely fused glass serving plate that the hostess can keep and use when he or she hosts the next holiday gathering.

As someone who loves to host gatherings, I can tell you that a host doesn’t expect any kind of gift. We love to bring people together. And the warm smiles and laughter of friends and family getting together is really all we need. But if someone takes their time to show their appreciation bringing a gift, it’s a really nice feeling.
