Wine Bottle Slumping Mold – Textured

A wine bottle slumping mold is a great way to recycle 750 ml wine bottles. Remember to elevate molds for proper air circulation. Apply kiln wash before use.  It makes a great shape to serve olives, crackers or use as a spoon rest. 

 

This mold was used only a handful of times in my studio and is like new. It has been kilnwashed, and I have always had good results. However, I recommend a new coat of wash or you can remove kiln wash and use ZYP mold release if you prefer.

 

This mold has a textured surface which will be subtle or more pronounced depending on the hold time at slumping temperature. 

 

Tip! For the best results, I slump the bottle flat first than slump again into the mold.
