I am way overdue for a blog post. About a month ago I was trying to decide whether or not to set up a Facebook presence. I decided to go ahead with it and since then have been deeply immersed in learning the ins and outs of Facebook.
After setting up my personal profile I created a business page. This used to be called a fan page. When someone “likes” or becomes a fan of the page they get updates from the page. I set my page up to automatically include my tweets and new blog posts. One of the other things I did was to set up a custom welcome page. The welcome page is where first time visitors go when they visit my fan page. This is where I tell visitors a little bit about me, share my other links, and of course ask them to become a fan. Setting up this page required some html coding. I don’t know a lot about html, but since my first career was as a computer programmer this was a challenge I couldn’t pass up.
After setting up my page a fellow Etsy seller saw it and asked for assistance in setting up her welcome page. I began to wonder how many other sellers and artists might be out there that needed a welcome page; people that don’t have the time or desire to figure out how to do it. Alas, not everyone is a computer geek like me. So should you be in need of a welcome page for Facebook I can get you set up! Check out the listing below for more information.
