This fused glass art tray is is definitely a statement piece and will look stunning in your artful home. The focal point features a unique hand crafted piece of glass. To create this one of a kind piece of glass I stack different colors of glass in a clay pot and heat them in the kiln until they flow out of the bottom creating a slab of glass on the kiln shelf. Cutting the slab with a tile saw, I select just the right section to include in each piece. For this channel plate, which I titled Stormy Sky, I combined gray art glass with hand cut 3mm strips of transparent blues. The complete process takes 4 or more firings.
