This small square fused glass bowl is made with a process called kiln carving. Kilncarving achieves a bas relief, textured, or sculpted look in glass. The process involves cutting a pattern or design in ceramic fiber paper, then stacking glass on top of the pattern and firing the piece in a kiln. This piecee is made with a blue glass that is iridized on the back which gives it a metalic looking finish. With a paisley like design including a flower and stars this stands out as a unique one-of-a-kind piece. It is 6 inches wide and 2.5 inches high at the points.
