Custom Stained Glass Transom

If you follow my tweets or my fan page you know that I’ve been working on a custom stained glass transom. It was delivered yesterday and the client was very happy; always a good thing! The client will be installing it this weekend and hopefully send me a picture of it.

This transom will be installed over a doorway between the entry hall and an adjoining room. The client already had an existing stained glass piece and wanted this piece to be similar. It is a traditional design made in all clear glass, which I think gives it a very elegant look. I used a slightly textured glass as the background that surrounds the bevel cluster and a square bevel in each corner. As you can see in the picture, I forgot to take off the protective tape on the corners before I took the picture. It is 69 inches long and 15 inches high. It just fit into my Subaru Forester.

So here it is in my shop being held up by my wonderful husband. I couldn’t do it without him. He’s always there to help me lift, turn over, and install panels, and cut plywood delivery boards. But the most important thing he does is keep me calm on delivery day which is always a little stressful for me.
