Custom Stained Glass Cabinet Panels – Installation Day

They say the more you do something the easier and less scary it gets. Well I have to say that every time I do a custom stained glass installation, there is always a little bit of apprehension on installation day. Usually they go pretty smoothly, but I did have one installation that required me to take the piece back to the studio to make adjustments. It was a custom fit into an arched opening. Arches are definitely tricky. Since no two installations are ever exactly alike, I wonder if I will ever get to the place where I don’t have some trepidation about the install.

Today’s installation was perfectly smooth. The fit was great, and the install was straight forward. Thankfully I have a very handy husband who helps me out. Well really, he does all the work. I just tell him what to do.

Here is a picture of the cabinet panels that were installed today. They are over a coffee bar in a short hallway so it was a bit difficult to get a great picture. Each panel is about 36” high x 12” wide.
