New Item – Bobby Pins

I’m still working on items for the Kingwood Women’s Club Holiday Market. I made a batch of these fun fused glass bobby pins.  A perfect stocking stuffer these hair pins add a fun touch to your hair. Pull back some bangs, or adorn a braid. I should have some of these posted in my shop for sale in November.

I sold a couple but it didn’t do as well as I thought it would. I thought these would be great stocking stuffers. I don’t think I had them packaged well. I now have them in pairs on cards. I also think it takes the right customer. I am a hair person and I buy all kinds of hair adornments! I like these bobby pins to tuck away stray stands when I am working. What did sell for you?

i am new to melting anything in kiln, but I’m trying for our senior center. how long did it take to melt into a Bobbi pin?

Hi Audrey. I have not made bobby pin adornments in a long time so I don’t remember how long they took. These are small pieces of glass that I put in my 6 inch kiln that has a manual controller. I heat them up as fast as my kiln will go to 1490 and then watch until they are nice and round. Then I turn off the kiln and let them cool. the cooling takes the longest.
